Welcome to Dubai Business School!
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has recently celebrated the Golden Jubilee and started designing for the next 50 years. Dubai Business School wants to be a part of this journey.
As part of a university located within the global and energetic city of Dubai, Dubai Business School wants to provide its students with a world-class education to enable them to excel in an innovative and dynamic environment such as the UAE and to face the challenges of the 21st century. Our programs offer a solid foundation in knowledge and a hands-on learning experience. We utilize experiential learning, case studies, and simulations in our courses and build on our scholarly reputation.

Accreditation
The University of Dubai is one of the top accredited universities in the UAE – professional and bold, with community, innovation and diversity permeating all its activities. At the end of the BBA program, the student is expected to accomplish the following general and management-specific learning objectives.
General learning objectives
- Develop the ability to think critically and analytically, and behave and perform ethically across the areas of specialization.
- Develop a global perspective and adapt to dynamic international and UAE cultural issues in business and management concepts.
- Apply written and oral communication skills in one’s area of professional interest.
- Demonstrate competence to effectively utilize information technology.
In the first two years of the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree program, students follow a prescribed sequence of courses. This sequence focuses on GUCR and supporting business requirements, providing students with a broad-based and well-rounded knowledge through acquiring communication skills, problem-solving and IT skills, as well as an understanding of general business concepts. This solid background enables students to complete the specialization requirements in one of their areas of interest during the third and fourth year of the BBA program. The program is further supported by electives chosen from a selection of different courses, to broaden students’ knowledge and enhance their specialized skills.
In order to graduate, the student must complete the program successfully with a GPA of 2.25 or above, and must earn a total of 129 credit hours.
Objectives
- Facilitate interaction between the business community and the academic community.
- Strengthen the ability of the college to provide needed services to the business community.
- Aid in improving the effectiveness of the UD faculty.
- Provide input leading to greater relevance of business and IT curricula.
- Provide input leading to increased student competencies and skills.
- Provide broader opportunities for graduates and faculty to participate in business activities.
Role of the Council
- Act as a sounding Council for the College Dean and faculty.
- Provide objective reflections concerning the College and its role in the community.
- Serve as a resource for achieving UD’s mission and objectives.
- Participate, when requested, in specific UD activities.
- Independently initiate and implement projects on behalf of UD.

Employment Verification For DBS Graduates
The University of Dubai’s Dubai Business School (DBS) is accredited locally in the UAE by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and internationally by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
